1992 Bowman, the 1st year Bowman adopted the phrase “Home of the Rookie Card”, is considered to be the key set for early 90s baseball. It was released in one series consisting of 705 cards including 45 foil stamped SP’s. For the first time, Topps upgraded the Bowman card stock to parallel Stadium Club, their preeminent brand at the time. More importantly, Bowman was printed to order so it was made in significantly less quantity then other products at the time since many distributors did not have much success selling Bowman in 1991. The limited printing, upgraded card stock, and top-notch rookie checklist have set this product apart from all others in the era.
