1996 Bowman’s Best is a 180 card set featuring 90 veterans and 90 rookies. This year the veterans were featured in gold with the prospects in silver.
The product was a huge step forward for the brand and modern card collecting due to the release of a never before seen parallel. The addition of three insert sets helped add value but it was the innovative new parallel design, the Atomic Refractor, that would become the highly coveted item by collectors even to this day.
