1997 Bowman Chrome is the first Chrome release of the Bowman brand. Unlike the regular Bowman product in 1997 which was released in two series, Bowman Chrome was released in only series with a combined checklist that featured players from both S1 and S2. Only 300 of the 441 subjects from regular Bowman were chosen to be in the Chrome product.
